Torah Judaism – The Authentic Way of HaShem

And now O Israel, what does your God demand of you?  Only this to revere HaShem your God, to walk only in His paths. to love Him and to serve HaShem your God with all your heart and soul, keeping HaShem’s commandments and laws, which I enjoin upon you today, for your good. (Deuteronomy 10:12-13)

See I set before you this day life and prosperity, death and asversity.  For I command you this day to love HaShem your God, to walk in His ways, and to keep his commandments, His laws, and His rules, that you may thrive and increase, and that HaShem your God may bless you in the land that you are about to enter and possess. (Deuteronomy 30:15-16)

This page is dedicated to authentic Torah Judaism, the Judaism practiced by most of Israel for the last 3350 years.  As the Rambam stated in his letter to his student Rav Yoseph Ben Yehuda:

I have already warned you not to become lax until you know the entire composition [Mishneh Torah], and that it should become your book.  And you should learn it everywhere [you go], in order that you may attain its maximum benefit.  For the intended purpose of what was written in the Talmud and books like it, is already finished and complete. And the purpose of learning [Talmud] is a waste of time in the Talmud’s back and forth argumentation-as if its goal and purpose were for training in debate, and nothing more!  And that was not the main goal.  Rather, the back and forth argumentation and the debates came about incidentally.  When something to be weighed was stated, and someone interpreted it one way, and another interpreted it the opposite; each one was obliged to clarify his way of learning, and to prove his understanding.  And the main goal was nothing but knowing what one must do, and what to avoid.

Our duty to HaShem is not to continuously engage in pointless debate about the Torah but to know what we a Jews are required to know and do.  This is the reason Rambam wrote the Mishneh Torah, so that the everyday man can study and learn what HaShem expects from us.  The Rambam tells us what the authentic halacha is, not the modern additions that have no weight from a legitimate Sanhedrin.
